Singer/songwriter Mundai Owen teams with multi instrumentalist and producer Alex Doré, both from the San
Francisco Bay Area, California. A seasoned performer in her own right, this collaboration has brought out Mundai’s essence as a soulful
and controversial songstress.
From Alex: "I felt as her music producer that she needed strong grooves and rhythms that make the listener fall into the songs
without any detachment from her singing. The purpose was not to drown her, rather to frame her in The Funk and let her spirit
rise above with her voice. Her "Spunky Funk" drive can be felt through the whole CD. Mundai has many facets to her
singing and the listener can feel her sweetness and her passion about love, men, women and relationships. She backs up her
lyrics with true commitment. In short there is a soulful honesty to Mundai's lyrics and performance"
